The base for this tour is located at Takigahara Farm.
Nevertheless, it is possible to start the tour directly from your hotel in Yamashiro Onsen or Yamanaka Onsen
Furthermore, pick-up is available from Awazu Onsen or the Kaga Onsen Train station
If coming from Kanazawa, it is a 18 minutes train ride by shinkansen or 45 by the local train

Tour Description :
Fantastic loop course in the mountains at the back of Kaga Onsen where thrieving Kutani pottery was born. Start the day by visiting the ruins of a former kiln and gain an understanding of Kutani pottery history and features. the ride really starts from there by slowly climbing towards the abandonned region of Kutani, where we can fully enjoy the wilderness of Japanese lush mountains.
After a few stops at some places of interests, we will finally have a lunch break in a beautiful spot where stands an antique thatched-roof house by a stream.
Finally get to the highest point with great view on the mountains and the ocean at the back, before enjoying an amazing 10km long downhill, curving throughout the mountains then crossing hidden villages frozen in time.
Enjoy lunch at Takigahara cafe, a funky little spot where a community of young people are working on reviving this small village reknown of its stone quarrying and carving culture.
Visit Natadera Temple, a place of worship with 1300 years history, and its beautiful garden. Here, one can really feel the peace granted by the main diety Kanon. OR ride extra 30 kms for those who are really here to ride (and get to drink holy water from the Kanon water spring)
